Twigz, a scarecrow-like creature, worshiped by a farming village as a protector of their harvest, is enraged as said village is burned to the ground by pillaging undead crow-people. Now she is trying to get vengeance on the raiders while planting new crops to return the acres to their former glory.
By uniquely combining the two genres of Hack'n'Slash and Buildup Strategy, we want to make the player feel like they are the last standing bastion in a never-ending battle against overwhelming amounts of enemies, protecting the village's remains from complete annihilation and therefore conveying the message never to give up.

Thanks for trying our game Acres. The goal is to get all of your Fields to 100% health. Kill enemies to get seeds, which you can then use to sow your fields during the daytime. Once enough field patches reached enough health, they can be harvested, adding a Wheat or Pumpkin to your inventory. (But be aware! That can be counterproductive) During daytime you can heal yourself with the wheat you harvested, or you can use the pumpkins you harvested as grenades. The controls are as follows:
WASD - Move
Left Click - Attack / Throw Pumpkin
Right Click with Weapon equipped - Punch Right
Click with Pumpkin equipped - Aim Pumpkin
Shift - Sprint
Space - Jump
E - Change Weapon (Sickle or Pumpkins)
H - Heal
There is a slim chance to get stuck in combat, breaking the fighting system afterward, for which we have not yet found the cause. There is currently no win condition and the game runs endlessly.
